Tree of Many Colors
Hi, paper crafting friends! Katharine Kelly Design guest designing for Brutus Monroe today.
For this set of cards, I stamped images from the Brutus Monroe Tree of Thanks stamp set over backgrounds created using regular and pearlized alcohol inks. I stamped the tree image using clear ink and heat embossed with Gadgets and Gizmos Embossing Powder. I received this powder as a part of the Embossing Powder of the Month Club. I sketched in some ground using a clear ink pen and heat embossed again. For the sentiments, I again stamped with clear ink. Then, I heat embossed with Alabaster White Embossing Powder from Brutus Monroe. Next, I used my colored pencils to add some highlights and lowlights to the stamped image. I added a bit of splatter and then trimmed my stamped card fronts down and matted them on the front of a white A2 card base.
