Welcome to Space (a shaker card)
Hi,
Having fun creating with Deco Foil line for Brutus Monroe and Brutus Monroe Outer Space Stamp Set today. Created background using a 3-D embossing folder by Tim Holtz.
Creating this card took a bit of time and many steps. Started by using the Simple Blends stencil and blended ink to form the space background for the shaker window. Next using the Brutus Monroe Blast Off stencil and transfer gel created stars on the blended background. Using Brutus Monroe foil in Sunset foiled the stars. Cut out the frame of the space ship window from Toner Sheets and foiled using Deco Foil in graphite.
Inked the edge of the blended background layer and used metallic rub to make it look like a space ship. Next, embossed card layer and inked and rubbed to give it the metal look. Cut out window opening and adhered the window frame. Using foam tape adhered layer to card base filling with sequins and clear plastic sheet to complete the space ship window.
Finally, stamped the space ship and squiggle from the Outer Space stamp set and colored using Style File markers. Cut out these pieces and adhered to the window. Using Raven detail ink stamped sentiment on banner and adhered to window.
