Welcome Winter Dies with Chroma Mists
Today, I bring you a card with NO stamping at all. I love the December Die of the Month Welcome Winter and couldn't wait to make a card with it.
I started by die cutting out all of my pieces for my card out of Aqua Pigment Paper. Then I used a variety of chroma mists to color all the pieces and let them dry.
- Cardinal: Base, black cardstock; Top layer, Pink Glow (Neon), Candy Apple Red and Holly Berry; Beak, Tangerine Orange
- Branch: Candy Apple Red, Leaf Green, Pearl Shimmer Mist
- Pine leaves: Noble Fir, Leaf Green, Pearl Shimmer Mist
- Snow: Pearl Shimmer Mist
- Background: Tinsel Blue, Turquoise, Cobalt Blue, Pearl Shimmer Mist
Once all of the pieces were dry, it was simply putting the pieces together, and I used the picture on the packaging for placement. I cut down the background to about 4" x 5.25" and then I used a rectangle die from my stash to cut a blue frame from scrap paper.
I wanted a simple sentiment, so I looked through my stash for a small hello, die cut it from some Aqua Pigment paper and painted it with some Pearl Aqua Pigment. After I attached it to my card panel. I used the leftover Pearl Aqua Pigment to add some splatter. Then I attached the whole thing to a top folding A2 white card base (which I turned on the side for a different card layout).
