What's Up Dog? | Hot Air Balloon
I started my card by stamping the images on Neenah 80# cardstock and colored them with Copic markers. After coloring I cut them out with my Brother Scan n Cut using the direct cut feature which cut the images out on the black line. Then I traced around my images with a black marker to give it a finished look.
Next I used some Strathmore Bristol Smooth cardstock to create my sky background. I used Brutus Monroe surface inks and began with Rock Candy, then Apricot, and Cabbage. I went over the colors a couple of times to blend the colors nicely together.
Next I trimmed down my background with a rectangle die and adhered it to my card base. I also used a left over frame from a previous project and adhered that around my background using Brutus Monroe craft glue.
I popped my dog and hippo up on foam dimensionals and glued the rest of my images and sentiment flat to my card.
To finish my card I added Wink of Stella, Stickles, and Ballerina Bottle Cap sequins around my card.
That's my card for today, I love the way this came out and I hope you did too!
Ink blending with Brutus Monroe Surface Inks is easy, pretty, and permanent! Give it a try!
