When I Grow Up: Firefighter

When I Grow Up: Firefighter

Happy Tuesday Everyone!
Today I have two cards I created using the When I Grow Up: Firefighter stamp set. These were so much fun to color and just love her little toy Dalmatian puppy!
For the first card above I started with Neenah 80# Solar white cardstock. I stamped the images first using Raven detail ink and created a mask for them using Brutus Monroe masking paper. I tapped down a brick stencil over the cardstock panel and began ink blending first with Antique Linen distress ink, and then a little Tea Dye distress ink for some contrast. I removed my stencil and I felt I needed a little more contrast for the bricks so I went in with copic marker YR24 just on the edges and that gave me what I was looking for.
For the cement I used a C1 copic marker and went over it a couple of times and used a C3 for the shadows. For the sign I used the new Grunge Shapes stamp set and fussy cut it out, and stamped NO. 9 for a station number and glued it on my panel.
Here is a list of the copic colors I used for this card:
Reds: R24, R39, R89  Skin: E01, E11, E21, E04 Cheeks: R21  Eyes: G24
Yellow: YG21,Y17, YR23  Grey: W0, W2, W4, W5   C1, C3,C5,C7
Gold: YR21, YR23, YR24
Almost a one layer card. I glued it to a side folding A2 sized note card and that completed this card.
For my second card I used Neenah 80# Solar White cardstock. I stamped my images down first using Raven detail ink and reused the mask that I made for my previous card.
I used a cloud stencil and Hickory Smoke distress ink to create the look of smoke in the background. I removed my masked and started with the cement sidewalk using copic markers. I used C3 to color and C5 to trace the lines. I came back in with the colorless blender solution and a rag to create texture on the sidewalk.
Next I colored in my images. I went pretty dark on this card but in the end I still love the way it turned out.
I stamp the sentiment on the front that came with the stamp set, and added some acrylic bubbles. I also added a border around my card and colored with the same copic colors I used to match.
I glued it to a side folding A2 sized note card and that completed my second card.
Here's the copic colors I used for this card:
Reds: R24, R27, R39, R89  Yellow: YG21,Y17  Greys: W0, W2, W4, C3, C5, C7, C9
Skin: E01, E11, E21, E04
Thanks so much for stopping by today!
