Winter fuzzies

Winter fuzzies

Hello friends!

First off, let me introduce myself: I am your newly recruited designer for Brutus Monroe. I am an Ecuadorian native but have lived in the US for 14 years. Proud mom of 3 kids and a dog and married to a wonderful man that puts up with my crafting messes on a daily basis.

But enough about me.

Today I bring you this wintery card inspired by my front yard, it is freezing cold over here in Utah and the snow inspired me to make this card.

I used this Forest background stamp from Brutus Monroe and used my stamping platform and BM Raven detail ink to stamp it onto my card-stock.

Coloring was super easy. I picked 3 different shades of green to color each tree, which was the most time consuming part, if you can call it that, and the rocks were colored using warm grays. I added shadows under everything with neutral copics in 1 and 3. The bunny I colored using dotting motions, since he is so tiny, and I colored him in gray and brown.  For the deer, I picked two different browns for his body and a dark gray for the antlers. Total coloring time was probably around 20 minutes, so this is a quick and easy card.

I finished up the card by stamping a wintery sentiment and embellished with nuvo drops.

Did you know:

Utah is known for having the greatest snow on earth. Utah's Cottonwood Canyons are one of the snowiest places in the world, with Alta averaging 551 inches of snow annually.
