Hello! I'm so excited to share my very first project I created for Brutus Monroe. I thought I'd go ahead and create a Valentines Day card for my little man.
To begin, I used washi tape to hold down the metal die over patterned paper and ran it through my Sizzix machine.
Next, I glued the pieces together and added a gem to the center of the candy wrapper.
Next, I sprayed the Blue Violet Chroma Mist onto a plastic baggie and smeared the ink around a bit by rubbing the plastic together. Once I was satisfied with the placement of the ink, I placed a 4.25x5.5 piece of the Aqua Pigment Watercolor Paper over the ink to create a fun mixed media background for the card.
I used my paper trimmer to cut the paper down a little bit to fit within a 3x4 card base.
I stamped the little boy from the Life is Sweet stamp using the Raven Ink onto a piece of Perfect Blend Alcohol Marker Cardstock. This cardstock holds the colors so beautifully.
To me, the Gilded Powder looked loss within the card with the other colors so I decided to use the Raven Embossing Powder on another scrap piece of paper to use as a banner for the bottom and liked the way this looked better.
